Who are we?
AthenShibari is a passionate team of rope enthusiasts who have formed a group to share interests, views, and values with others. Our values are based on exploration, openness, respect, wellbeing and ethical approach.
Our organization has grown significantly since 2018. We now organize larger events, including monthly shows, jams, and play parties with our valued performers. We have expanded our reach internationally, teaching and performing in various countries and collaborating with rope artists worldwide. In addition to offering lessons, we have our own space in Athens and plan to expand even more.

By that we mean freely given, reversible, informed, enthusiastic and specific permission for something to happen or agreement to do something.
Philosophical Approach
Fascist, sexist, homophobic, racist etc. ideas and preferences will not be accepted by us in any of our activities. Our team supports the ideas of inclusivity and the endorsement of diversity.
Freedom of expression
In AthenShibari we believe that people can discover their own path in shibari. No matter what is your style, you are free to express it without any judgement.
Body-positivity
We encourage the acceptance and appreciation of all human body types, regardless of size, shape, colour etc. Shibari is for everyone, provided the awareness of all risks involved and the respect of our own limitations.
Kink-positivity
All kinds of sex and sex related activities between consenting adults are a positive thing. Your kink might not be our kink, but your kink is fine... As long as it is safe, sane and explicitly consensual.

We are proud to collaborate with similar organizations, as well as some sex shops.
While most of our events take place in Athens, we also collaborate with ThessalonikiShibari and we also travel to other countries such as the UK, Germany, Denmark, Cyprus and Brussels.
