Gote Workshop: Function, Form & Feeling

With SimpleSpecimen & Knot Really Dead

Join us for a focused, in-depth workshop exploring the technical and emotional potential of the traditional 2-rope gote (box tie). This class is designed for riggers and bottoms who want to deepen their understanding of the tie’s components, mechanics, and purpose—both practically and relationally.

🧷 Overview

This class aims to explore the components and functions of a traditional 2-rope gote in order to develop a deeper understanding of its mechanics. By studying the structure and intent behind each part of the harness, riggers and bottoms can make more informed decisions, increase safety, and build more sustainable and intentional rope scenes.
