November 23- Rope Jam & Breath Play Challenge

Dear shibari friends,
We are happy to invite you to the next Rope Jam, organized by AthenShibari, at our new space!

New or old to the scene, feel free to join us at 6:30pm. We will also host a Breath Play Challenge, for those interesting in participating!

~Breath Control Rope Challenge~

In this competition, models who enjoy the intensity of breath restriction with ropes are invited to participate in a challenge of endurance and control. The objective is to see who can last the longest while maintaining composure under pressure, without compromising safety and limits.

Rules:
Rope Placement: The ropes must be placed below the shoulders. No ropes are allowed to touch or wrap around the neck, head, or shoulders to ensure safety and prevent dangerous pressure points.
Method: Riggers will use techniques that create restriction and tightness around the chest, ribs, or midsection to simulate the sensation of breath control. The focus is on the feeling of tightness and limited breath intake, not actual airway restriction.
Monitoring: Each participant will have a designated safety monitor to check in with them constantly. Communication signals (such as nods, taps, or an agreed gesture) will be used to confirm that the model is comfortable and safe.
Duration: The competition will continue until one participant is left. Models can tap out or signal their safety monitor to end the session at any time if the sensation becomes too intense or uncomfortable.
Winner: The model who endures the longest while maintaining calm, controlled breathing will be declared the winner.
Important Notes:
Consent is Key: This game is entirely voluntary, and participants can choose to stop at any moment without explanation or consequence.
Safety First: Riggers and safety monitors are responsible for ensuring that all models feel safe, respected, and checked in with throughout the challenge.
Respect Limits: Any participant’s decision to stop is to be respected immediately, and support will be available for anyone who needs assistance or aftercare following the game.
This competition aims to create a thrilling experience while ensuring everyone’s safety and respect.

What is a rope jam?
Rope jam is an open practice and rope play session for all riggers, rope bottoms, rope switches and people into self-tying.
Come and bring your ropes, your good mood, your friends and partners and even some snacks/drinks! You will be able to do ropes in a safe and calm environment, meet with other rope enthusiasts and of course meet the members of our team! (We are excited to see you!)
There is no teaching at this event, it is time to play!!
Don't you have previous experience with ropes? Feel free to come by and socialize with other rope enthusiasts
If you want to learn, we kindly invite you to come at any open class or to contact us for more information!
Dress code is pretty flexible. We recommend comfortable clothes to tie in or sit on the floor. However, if you prefer to dress up, feel free to choose an outfit that makes you feel sexy. Fetish outfit is welcome. Also, thank you so much for helping us having a clean and safe space!
Pricing:
Cost is 10 euros per person.

AthenShibari - General Rules for Rope Jams
Rope jams are for attendees that are at least 18 years of age.
We do not tolerate abusive, inappropriate or offensive behavior.
Respect each other and respect common sense. Don´t touch other people´s equipment without asking permission first. Don’t touch people without their consent.
Please clean up after yourself. Make sure you throw out any trash you create, wash your plates/glasses, and clean your space after you’re done tying to allow others to make use of the spot.
Our general dress code is comfortable clothing. Topless is allowed for all genders in the studio area, but full nudity is not allowed.
Keep your volume at a reasonable level, both while tying and socializing.
Rope Jams are rope bondage oriented (social) events and are not BDSM play parties. Keep rope your main activity. Some BDSM acts are allowed (light impact play, wax play as long as you keep the space clean etc), but explicit sexual acts are not allowed. We would also like to avoid activities with excessive body fluids like spitting or drooling, unless under very good preparation to keep the space clean.
Make sure you practice safe and consensual bondage, don’t take unnecessary risk and only take risks if all participants are aware of the risk and willing to take them. Always keep a safety-shear in reach and ask for help in case of any emergency!
You are welcome to bring your own food & (non-alcoholic) drinks. We usually offer coffee and tea. However we will ask you to not bring anything in the rope area.
Feel free contact us if you need more information or to order some ready-to-use ropes. You can also contact us if you wish to hire a model or a rigger
Looking forward to see you there!
