Athenshibari’s 7 year anniversary Rope Jam & Improv Session (Live Music)

Dear Shibari Friends,

We are thrilled to invite you to a very special Rope Jam as AthenShibari celebrates 7 years of bringing the rope community together! Join us at our space for an evening of connection, creativity, and celebration on this very special occasion.

Special Anniversary Feature: Live Music Performance
To make this night even more memorable, we will be hosting "Sign of Kish", a minimal folk/electro/ambient duo born out of a passion for experimental soundscapes. Their music blends traditional Asian instruments with synthesizers to create immersive sound environments, perfect for artistic performances.

Live Improvised Set (7 PM - 8 PM)

"L" will be playing the guzheng, an ancient instrument and ancestor of the Japanese koto.
"J" will blend analog and digital synthesizers to explore elegant, dynamic timbres.

Special Offer: To celebrate the fusion of rope and live music, we are offering a half-price ticket to participants who engage in improv floor/partial ties during the 1-hour live improv music session. This is a great chance to explore spontaneous rope expression in harmony with sound!

What is a Rope Jam?
A Rope Jam is an open practice and rope play session for all riggers, rope bottoms, rope switches, and people into self-tying.
Bring your ropes, your good mood, your friends and partners, and even some snacks or drinks! You will be able to tie in a safe and welcoming space, meet other rope enthusiasts, and of course, celebrate with us on this special night!

There is no teaching at this event—it’s time to play! No previous experience with ropes? Feel free to come by, soak in the atmosphere, and socialize with other rope lovers.

Dress Code
Flexible! Comfortable clothing is recommended for tying or sitting on the floor, but if you’d like to dress up for the occasion, fetish outfits are welcome.

AthenShibari - General Rules for Rope Jams
Must be 18+ to attend.
Respect and consent are key. Don’t touch people or their equipment without permission.
Keep the space clean and respectful for everyone.
Volume control: Keep noise levels appropriate while tying and socializing.
Rope Jams are bondage-oriented social events, not BDSM play parties. Some BDSM elements (light impact play, wax play, etc.) are allowed, but explicit sexual acts and excessive body fluids should be avoided.
Practice safe and consensual bondage—always keep safety shears nearby.
Food & drinks: Bring your own (non-alcoholic) drinks & snacks, but keep them outside the rope area.

We are beyond excited to celebrate 7 years of AthenShibari with you all!

See you there!
